This year three of the region's best blues bands will come together for the festival.  The event will be a celebration of toe-tapping, hand-clapping, soul-stirring and get  up and dance music.

It will again be the second Saturday in August:

                           August 11,2012

Location:  Klamath Yacht Club on the BEAUTIFUL KLAMATH LAKE at  2700 Front Street, Klamath Falls, Oregon

                          Time:  2:00 to 7:00 P.M

                          Cost/Donation:  $25.00 per person
($20.00 in advance - see below).

Included for your cost:  a traditional Bratwurst dinner with Johnsonville Brats, German potato salad, Sauerkraut and trimmings, PLUS several samples of locally brewed beers from MIA AND PIA'S PIZZERIA & BREWHOUSE, and KLAMATH BASIN BREWING COMPANY at the Creamery

To round out your afternoon of Rhythm, Blues and classic rock'in Blues music each year we hold a SILENT AUCTION with some GREAT ITEMS FOR BIDDING.

Bands in 2012 are expected to be Broadway Phil and the Shouters, Soul’d Out,  and Half Light Canyon (a new group to our festival).

We host this MUSICAL EXTRAVAGANZA to raise funds for youth programs in Klamath county.  One of the primary benefactors is Klamath Hospice's Camp Evergreen, a Bereavement Camp for Children who've lost loved ones.

Your donation is a great price to support this charity and "get away" on a beautiful sunny afternoon, listening to some great Blues staged by the back drop of Upper Klamath Lake, eating a bratwurst and sipping a brew with friends.

About our Rotary Club:

The Klamath Basin Sunrise Rotary Club was Chartered in December, 1997.

Benefit to our community – Sunrise Rotary Club members believe that they serve to make a difference in the local and international community. The club serves the Klamath Community in order to improve the lives of their “neighbors”. Our commitment to youth is because we believe …  if children’s lives are improved now, they will be better citizens in our community in the future.

We are also active on the international level by supporting The Rotary International Foundation and have numerous "Paul Harris Fellows" as members.

The Klamath Basin Sunrise Rotary Club
Awarded Rotary International’s 2009 Significant Achievement Award.
This international award recognizes One Rotary club a year for outstanding community service projects that address a significant problem or need in the local community; involve most or all of the club members in personal rather than monetary service, and creating a sustainable service plan that can be duplicated by other Rotary clubs.

If you are not a Rotarian and are interested in learning more about Rotary, please contact us. We will be pleased to talk to you about Rotary and how you may become a member of this international service organization.
