Greetings from the Klamath Sunrise Rotary Club!
It is with great delight that I am requested to make this note available to all that visit our site! I hope you find a little piece of something that will impact your thoughts about the Sunrise group in Klamath Falls.
The Klamath Sunrise group is a smaller group compared to most clubs; but we are huge in spirit! This is a once in a lifetime year in which we are celebrating Rotary's Centennial Year with the theme: “CELEBRATE ROTARY!”
Our objective to maintain the Four Avenues of Service is a team effort that is participated with energy, determination and pride. We began a Community project with our local YMCA early this year. Our team has given hours of time and labor towards the YMCA with everything from scrubbing dirt and grime to yard work. We have sanded, painted, pressure washed, and enlisted many donations from local companies to contribute materials, installations, & new designs to enhance and re-build our YMCA. It has proven to be a successful project that has brought uplifting joy to the community and it's members.
We are also dedicated to the local Klamath Hospice. This is our fourth annual Brats, Brews & Blues Festival in which the proceeds are donated to the Hospice. They in turn use the funds towards an annual Bereavement Camp for kids. The kids are able to attend this 7-day summer camp with counselors from the local area; assisting with the grieving process they are experiencing from a close relative or loved one. The ages range from 8 yrs to 18 yrs. I recently had the opportunity to visit the bereavement camp with a group of our team...it was an eye-opening experience that brings light to the needs of children and many of those surrounding them.
Among the miscellaneous projects that we all commit to, we are committed as a team to support and build our Rotary Foundation. We all have a heart to service the people that need our help. Rotary is an enriching club to be a part of and we are proud to be here!
I would like to encourage any and all to come visit the Klamath Sunrise Rotary group. I'm willing to bet a buck you will walk away with a new friend and a smile on your heart.
Let's Celebrate Rotary!
